What is a Skills Passport and what are the benefits?
Employers in many Industries recognise Lantra's Skills Passport as proof of an individual’s ability to work at a given standard. You may be looking for your first job in the sector, or you may be hoping to increase your earnings potential, or you may be one of the growing army of volunteers who contribute. In all cases your detailed Skills Passport will help.
To get your Skills Passport you will need to get your current skills endorsed. Ask your employer, your training provider or Lantra about signing up for a Skills passport now!
What is an endorsed CV and what are the benefits?
Designed specifically for job seekers in the sector, your endorsed CV is evidence that you are serious about progressing in the industry. You can record your personal statement and any qualifications you hold, together with any skills you already have gained in your work or other activities.
Your personal homepage allows you to choose to ‘Add to my CV’ any personal information you want showing on your specially printed CV.
Simply contact Lantra when you need your CV producing, and we’ll do the rest.
I want a job in one of the industries in the land-based and environmental sector, how does the OCF help me?
You can use the Lantra OCF to look for detailed job descriptions of hundreds of jobs in the sector. Use the ‘Self-Assessment’ page to find out if you are ‘work-ready’.
Register your details and complete a skills profile and we can automatically match your skills profile to job vacancies in the sector.
I want to improve my job/career prospects, how does the OCF help?
That’s easy! Simply record your current job and target job to your personal home page and you can run a simple comparison to show how far you need to go to get from where you are now to reach your target job. Find training and development courses to help you get the right skills for your target Job. Tick the preferences box and we will notify you of any jobs that match your personal profile. Don’t forget to keep your endorsed CV or Skills Passport details up to date as every skill you gain helps you reach your target job.
I am an employer in the land-based and environment sector, why is the Lantra OCF of interest to me?
Join the Lantra Better Business Club and use of the Lantra OCF is free. Use the detailed job descriptions as training needs analysis and appraisal tools. Use the job matching facility to find new employees who match your job profiles. Get access to quality assured training provision. Learn about subsidised or free training courses that match your company’s development needs.
